Minnesota United FC Proves Minnesota is Cursed

A little off to the side of the main sports covered on the page, but the Minnesota soccer team just embodied why I ask the question "Why do Minnesota Sports Suck?"
I had no stock in the game today, but I decided to watch the end of it when I remembered they were playing. I turned the game on around the 70th minute while we were up 2-0. My first initial thought was there's no way any type of soccer team allows 3 goals in the last 20+ minutes of a game, but I quickly remembered who was playing. As soon as I heard that Seattle was the reigning champion I almost went to put money on them, sure that we could find a way to lose the game. Sure enough I was right but I hesitated and didn't win any money.
It was incredibly impressive how fast we lost that game. Seattle scored once in the 75th minute and never looked back, taking all the momentum and scoring twice more in the next 18 minutes to win 3-2. I know little about soccer, but I know a Minnesotan collapse when I see one. We started just kicking the ball away from the net without much regard for where it was going to, especially when it was to Seattle or out the back line for an opposing corner. It seemed that whatever spirit that is haunting Minnesota sports showed itself a little to clearly today. The same spirit than embodied Blair Walsh, Gary Anderson, and the entire Twins team embodied the soccer team tonight and stripped them from a chance to move on to the MLS championship.
I don't know enough about soccer to say if we would have had a chance in the championship, but that's not the point. The point is Minnesota is doomed to lose big games when they have opportunities, no matter what the sport. Hopefully something comes along to help us eventually.
But for now we are cursed.
